Role Overview 📝
In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of our fast-evolving business, managing a rapidly increasing volume of transactions as we scale. With our growth, the complexity and scope of our financial operations are expanding—meaning your role will be crucial in driving efficiency, accuracy, and performance in every transaction. From overseeing financial processes to enhancing vendor relationships, you’ll play a key part in managing the flow of business as we continue to grow at an accelerated pace.
As the Transaction Services Manager , you will oversee the design and implementation of robust controls within a multi-faceted, high-volume driver pay process, along with accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will also inspire and develop a small team, acting as the visible face of change across the company. This is a unique chance to make your mark, ensuring systems not only operate efficiently but set new standards for excellence.
Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as it involves regular engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, suppliers, customers, external providers and delivery drivers and sortation handlers . You will play a key role in conveying critical information and addressing queries with clarity and precision to stakeholders directly while driving forward improvements that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Design and implement robust processes tailored to the size and complexity of the business ensuring efficiency and audit-readiness
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop and maintain seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as third-party pay providers, to optimize payroll systems , customers and suppliers
- Internal Controls: Establish and refine internal controls to enhance accuracy and compliance, identifying opportunities for innovation in all processes
- Discrepancy Resolution: Balance supplier, customer and pay accounts by identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Reporting: Provide actionable insights through detailed weekly reports presented to the VP of Finance, linking data to operational performance
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of 2, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Query Management: Act as the point of contact for escalated queries, ensuring service levels are met while maintaining strong relationships and accuracy in the outputs from the team
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure payroll compliance with all regulatory and audit requirements, adapting processes as needed to meet evolving standards
- Ad-Hoc Support: Assist with ad-hoc requests for information and contribute to broader team initiatives
Requirements
- Experienced: You bring 3-5 years of experience managing complex, high-volume payrolls. Experience in managing accounts payable and/or accounts receivables processes highly desirable but not essential
- Leader: Proven leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Analytical: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of distilling complex data into actionable insights
- Communicative: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences, from operational teams to executives
- Proactive: A proactive and adaptable approach, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative, and hands-on environment
- Qualification: CIPP accreditation or accounting qualification is preferred but not essential
